Welcome to our home Sarita!

Well we are now home with our little girl! To my surprise I was sad to leave the hospital because of the wonderful memories we created this week there. Michelle was emotional because of that reason too and enjoyed all the help she received from the great nurses. Little Sara has slept a lot today and drank up her milk from her mommy! We are having the time of our lives and are prepared for some sleepless and tough nights but she is worth all of it. She is beautiful!

Almost time to go home!

This week has been one to remember. It feels like time does not exist because of the small amount of sleep that we have gotten. When it is noon it feels more like 7 PM. As excited as we are to go home with our new little girl the memories we have made in this hospital are great. Michelle is enjoying being able to just push a button and get what she wants from the nurses. Little Sara Michelle is nice and healthy and Michelle is getting better and better each day. Now Sara Michelle will get to wear her ¨Silent Night, Yeah right¨shirt that Marie gave her. I am sure we will understand that all too well! She is worth it though she is pretty dang cute if I do say so myself. Michelle will start blogging on here now that she is feeling better.

Wow! What a Day!

On Monday, January 5th Michelle had a scheduled appointment to see Dr. Dewey at 4:00 P.M. The day started out just normal, she went to work and then around 10:00 A.M I got a call from Dr. Dewey asking to see Michelle as soon as possible because he wanted to see if she was ready. Well of course he told us he could get her started and we were all overjoyed to see little Sara-Michelle. Michelle was induced and spent 15 hours in labor and then Dr. Dewey informed her that she was going to need a c section because her birth canal is too narrow. So then Michelle went in to be opened up with my right by her side. I am amazed at technology. How can someone be opened up like that and be stitched right back together? Michelle was very brave and she was amazing at how strong she was. When little Sara-Michelle came out the nurses gave her to me to hold after a couple minutes. The first time I held my little baby girl was a celestial moment for me. I had tears in my eyes and felt the spirit of God. My little girl stared me straight in the eyes for a good 10 seconds. She was saying hello to her daddy. I have referred to this experience many times, but when I got off of my mission, I was emotional, I was in the living room in tears and dad came in and put his arms around me and told me that the best times in life were yet to come. I did not understand that then but I did when I met Michelle and married her and when I held my little girl for the first time. I love having her here and being with Michelle and sharing this with my family and Michelle's. I love Michelle and I love little Sara-Michelle with all the love that I have. Michelle and I appreciate the support of family and friends and are just loving every second of this. Michelle is so strong and she has endured all of this with so much faith in the lord and my testimony of the gospel has been strengthened from this whole wonderful experience.
